MODERN CALLIGRAPHY FOR BEGINNERS
Come along and learn the art of beautiful hand-lettering. This workshop is suitable for anyone wanting to learn how to use traditional pen and ink with a contemporary flourish.
We will go through the pen stroke basics before working through each letter form and learning how to join it all together to create words in your own modern italic script.
All materials will be provided for you to use on the day. You will also be able to take your kit home with you to carry on practising.
Kit includes: nib, pen holder, letter reference sheets and a pot of ink

PLEASE NOTE: due to the current situation, workshops will be limited to 2 people (plus myself) per workshop. Workshop attendees will be required to wear a mask for the duration of the workshop, and I will be wearing a visor. There is a hand sanitising station at the door which you will be asked to use on arrival and you will be provided with your own materials so will not need to share with anyone else. Access: please be aware, there is a small porch and step up into the studio so unfortunately it is not accessible for wheelchair users at this time. Please contact me if you have any specific requirements.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Payment is required at the time of booking and is generally non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the workshop, you can transfer your booking to another date or if I am given 7+days notice and I am able to fill your space then I will offer you a refund. This is at my discretion and is dependent on me filling the space.
For the safety of myself and the other attendees, if you feel at all unwell in the 7 days leading up to the workshop, please contact me and I will find an alternative date for you to attend.
In the event that I have to cancel the workshop, all attendees will be offered an alternative date or a full refund if preferred. I will give as much notice as possible.
